nature finds a way by netghost nature finds a way by netghost
Nature always finds a way.

The photograph is one of many which I took of Seattle's EMP, a hillarious technicolor monstrosity. Hence excellent source material for wierd images ;)

1oo% photoshop + powershot s110 + tablet + one afternoon

Awesome! EMP's in such an awesome building. I had a blast when I was there last fall.

this a perfect subject for this style, the building,
so surreal, is able to become an idiosyncratic
element of landscape while still retaining its identity.

would it be within your methodology to combine multiple photos?
I think it would be interesting if, for example, you tried
using different angles of the building to make the hills
in the background.

I like that idea, perhaps I will try something along those lines at some point.

Nice piece. I love that building. When I went there I spent more time looking at the architecture than the music stuff.

Cold winter days where trees without their leaves, naked in revealing their hollowness, of its reflection from the ice sheets below. In the distant air is thick, but for now it seemed clear to breathe.

I like how you mix media in creating this piece, very solitude, almost in its own world. It would kick if you add some birds in the distant to give it more depth.

This looks great, the way you have combined the drawn elements with the photograph,an interesting concept as well. The trees may have been better if you had drawn them with more detail.

That's amazing. The reflections in the metallic ground are really cool, and the whole shape of the ground is great. I like the meaning of the image too. I think it would have been better though, for that meaning, if the trees had leaves and stuff. Right now they just look dead; not much of a great life.

Wow I really like the symbolism in this. Awesome blend of cg and manual artwork. One detail that could help blend the two even more is adding a few more details around the roots. A latticework of cracks and broken chunks of ice to add a sense of the trees breaking through.

There was no CG, well as far as what most folks call CG, so no 3D art at all. Just a photo, and some work in photoshop.

I can't add cracks to it, the whole point is that I'm working with the photo, the trees are drawn to match the contours of the building, they grow between the pains of glass like moss between bricks.

ow!! beautiful! The way the photo bit looks not quite real anyway makes it perfect for its blend into unreality, and the style of the trees and background fit well with it. Reflections are lovely. One of my fewish :+fav:s
