Plugged in my tablet and started to draw a dark and stormy night. I'm not good at planning images.
So here's the test, does anyone still know I exist
Anyways, just a fun picture to get back in the habit of drawing, I think my tablet is near death.
The download includes a zip file with the original photoshop 5.5 psd, play with it as you like, who am I to tell you what it's supposed to look like? Try inverting the background, and enjoy.
Nevermind... deviantart has changed how they do previews and such, so that's just not going to work. The zip file remains a mystery to the world until my blog goes live (bug me about that).
Resources:
2 Cross stich books, 1 book on Sumi-e art, a painting at the Seattle Art Museum (no you won't guess which), my tablet, some glitchiness, 2 IMs, and a sense of guilt for not drawing.
An intriguing, compelling and somehow romantic picture. The colours suggest a dusky sky, and the ephemeral nature of the flower feels as if you could reach out and try to touch it, only for your fingers to slip through it. A beautiful picture.
i'm so glad you're uploading again. your artwork has lost nothing in the time between - this piece is beautiful. especially love the pixellated corner-decorations.
decided to watch you just when you stopped releasing anything... apart form the interesting journals
This is definetly cool though, love the pixelation
