illustrative boundaries
The local free newspaper, The Stranger [link] (a wonderful source of excellently biased information) , had this cover [link] which blew me away. Someone else out there is doing exactly what I've been wanting to do for ages. It's scary how cool I think it is.

As such, I thought I'd try something similar, and thus was born this vector gecko. I think I'm finaly starting to feel comfortable with Illustrator. I'm absurdly pleased with it, which means nobody else will give a damn, but hey that's life ;) (Wink)

Should anyone want it posted, I can post the vector file for the gecko.

Hi. I work with your best friends' father, Ty, and noticed he uses this icon on his gmail profile pic. I wanted to get your approval to adopt it as an Icon/Logo for our back porch lounge/bar that we've dubbed "The Lizard Lounge".

Honestly, you should submit this to this website. My friends works here and its a graphic design firm or something and they would probably love this because they're called Gecko Group.

That's pretty damn awesome! I must say that this 'style' is one of the hardest to do, despite seeming so... smooth and simple? I can't really say. And the subtle shading is a nice touch too.

The way you made the gecko escape the paper really reminds me of when I do my own works, and often end up drawing too much for the amount of room I have. *sigh* I really hate those moments.

Anyhow, this is amazing for your first try! (Or 1000th try, it wouldn't matter because it's amazing either way.)
