evoking freedom by netghost evoking freedom by netghost
Is this a photmanipulation? The photo is far gone, though it was based on a photo. Choosing categories for art is so difficult. Oh well, this was just for fun ;)

Anyways, "all the symbols required to make a picture evoking a sense of freedom" would have been more suiting as a title, but I think there's some sort of character limit.

If you would like to see how this was created, I took special measures this time to work -gasp- linearly -gasp- with the layers. To magicaly watch me work, hide all the photoshop layers, and then starting with the bottom one, make them visible.

Zip file contains Jpg version and Photoshop 5.5 psd. The photo was taken on same day, essentialy the same place as this one: [link]

UPDATE: The zip is about 11 megs, DevArt doesn't seem to like me uploading files of this size, so... I'm placing it on my personal page at the UW: [link]

That's great. If that's a photo manipulation of any sort, then it's amazing. I really like the natural frame of the tree on the left, and the movement of the bird created by lines. Nice texturing and coloring, and the reflection in the water is cool.

Heh, just so you know, there's a very short list of reasons I troll back through the site with whatever free time I have, but I continuously update my desktop to the latest netghost wallpaper.

This is amazing. I couldn't tell it was a photomanip before I read it. I love the feeling of it, the trees are AMAZING, and the fence, the fence is really cool. I love all the subtleties. Everything is so subtle, but together they give this great picture. Great job. +fav for sure

I really like this.
The concept is great.
Is the original photo included in the .zip as well?
I'd love to see how it evolved.

The original photo, or at least a cropped version is the bottom layer.
